Transformations - Wanaka, NZ with Tom Powell

From the Archive

On an adventurous recce, photographer and Millican ambassador Tom Powell explores New Zealand's South Island. From Lake Wanaka to the green summit of Mt Cook, over snow-covered ridges and around the lesser known Lake Ohau, Tom captures the dramatic transformations of New Zealand's Southern Alps landscape.

"I've been on quite a few week-long recces with Marsden the Camera Pack now, it's still going strong and looking better by the month. It has enough room for my camera gear, and all the extra layers I need to cope with the changeable weather conditions - as well as a few snacks."

It's half eleven on Friday morning. Adam and I are sat in the heather, high on Walla Crag looking down on Derwentwater.
