Such a useful bag this. Not too big and not too small. Smart but not too smart!! A great thing, I'm enjoying it muchly.
I bought this back pack for a friend who needed a good quality weekend bag. Being environmentally conscious and keen to make a sustainable choice I decided on a Millican Duffle bag which she loves. It's a perfect size for a weekend away and is easy to carry on her back. It's surprising just how much can fit inside the 28L. It's very versatile and the colour is fab.
Perfect bag. Perfect price.
I took this bag as my one bag, travelling for a two month trip around Europe. It is thoughtful design with functional pockets (the little pocket at the top is perfect to slip your passport in and out). Very well made, and a beautiful looking bag.
My advice would be if you intend to actually travel with this, definitely go with the 28 litre version, I am a light traveller, but if you think you need more room, choose another bag. The reason for this primarily being the straps. Although well made, they get a bit uncomfortable. There is definitely a weight to comfort ratio and these style traps would be totally fine if the weight of you final pack doesn't exceed, say 6-7kg. I carried my 15 inch Macbook and filled this bag completely up. The final weight being 10kg. The straps definitely started cutting in to my shoulders after about 20 mins or less of walking. I imagine it would only be more uncomfortable/ hard to meet that weight if you put another 12 litres in. The 40 litre would be fine if you were just going from your car boot to your room.
Overall though i'm super impressed and had many people comment on how nice it looked etc.
If the comfort could be improved even a little bit without compromising the sleek design too much, it would be a solid 5 star.
The duffle bag is one of my favorite bag I have ever owned. The design is user friendly and fashionable. Quality is good, I owned the bag for 3 years and it's still doing well. It is perfect for a day hike or normal use. But if you are carrying lots of stuff and they are heavy, the strip will be a little bit uncomfortable like cutting your skin since there's no sponge in it. So if you are carrying heavy stuff all the time, try another model. Overall...I love it!
