Miles The Duffle Bag 28L

It's criminal that this duffel bag didn't come with a shoulder strap. It would allow you to carry this bag, as well as one of the other Millican rucksacks, at the same time. Making the bags they offer more of a set, instead of four stand alone bags...

As the straps are so so minimal it would be very easy to rectify this.

I see other reviewers have mentioned the same thing.

So come on Millican.

A really good bag overall. Very spacious – it feels bigger than 28 litres, as the main compartment is one large space. I have two 16-litre vacuum bags that fit in it perfectly. I went away for 12 days, and all my gear fit into this bag with no problem. You just need to pack efficiently.

That said, I’d agree with the comments below – some padding on the straps would be a good addition, as would a single duffel-style strap for those times you just want to sling it over your shoulder.

Everything else is spot on.

This is a fantastic bag. The material build quality and simplistic design makes it by far the best bag I've used when taking short breaks of up to 4 days, and it's compact size means that I have always been able to take it on as hand luggage. The shoulder straps and carry handle are strong and comfortable to use. Easily the best bag I've owned of this type.

As far as a travel bag, this bag is pretty small, which I like because it forces me to pack efficiently, meaning that I will also have a lighter load when I travel. There are so many wonderful well thought out touches make it better than the average bag. Top quality. Very happy with it.

A good size for a weekend away, which is why I bought it. Meets all my expectations of a Millican bag. I found the straps worked well, even without padding…. but aren’t what I would use a lot.
One small problem is that I’m finding the zip a little difficult to do up (i.e. close). The engineer in me thinks it’s because of the design/shape of the sliders, having holes for a lock or tie,. This means that the pull on the tab, when closing, is at the ‘back’ of the slider and is not as efficient because of the slider being forced down at a slight angle. That’s my theory! Not a major problem, just a bit frustrating.
